Detailed Description
The bourbon’s mash bill includes 65% corn, 20% malted barley, and 15% malted rye. Double distillation is done on the old Cognac still. A straight bourbon, it has been aged for two years in new bourbon barrels.
Low Gap Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Smooth and buttery, with balanced notes of oak and honeydew.
Palate: Vanilla, wood spice, and earthy grain.
Finish: Medium length, refreshing flavors of cucumber, melon, and peach.
Distillery Information
Tamar Distillery Inc., American Craft Whiskey Distillery was founded in 2008, where they make Low Gap Whiskey, Russell Henry Gins, Fluid Dynamics Cocktails, and DSP 162 Vodkas. They use ancient methods learned during a lengthy apprenticeship with a brandy master from Cognac. Crispin applies the old double distillation method used in Cognac for over 500 years to make Low Gap Whiskey, and all their products.
