Siempre Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: The aroma is wood-forward with plenty of toasted oak and sandalwood over vanilla, sultanas, and earthy herbals.
Palate: Woods take center stage on the palate too with blooming notes of warm honey, cilantro, roasted fruit, and smoked black pepper.
Finish: Ends medium length and warm with a light pepper burn.
Distillery Information
The water is sourced directly from the springs of the “Volcán de Tequila,” which runs underneath the distillery. The juice is then combined with naturally occurring yeast and fermented for 38 to 60 hours. This longer-than-typical fermentation, Agustín explains, results in “more subtleties and it’s mellower flavor.”
