Detailed Description
Koloa Coffee is made from the mash of raw Cane Sugar, distilled in an impressive vintage 1210 gallon steam powered copper pot still and cut with filtered water from the ancient Mount Waialeale.
Koloa Kauai Coffee Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Freshly ground and brewed Aribica and Robusto Beans with the sweet smell of molasses and rich dark chocolate undertones kissed with a touch of Lilikoi.
Palate: Robust espresso coffee balanced with white cane sugar.
Finish: Hints of tropical fruit in the finish along with hazelnut and stone fruits.
Distillery Information
Koloa Rum Company produces single-batch Hawaiian rums with locally sourced ingredients at their distillery near the town of Kalaheo, on the south side of the beautiful Garden Isle of Kauai. All of our rums are distilled twice using their vintage 1,210-gallon copper-pot still with a copper column and condenser. This still was built by Liberty Coppersmiths in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1947 and refurbished for use at the distillery.
