The Wild Geese Irish Whiskey brand was founded back in 2005, named after the Irish soldiers that departed for France after the Williamite War in Ireland in 1961. The name has been used many times over history to refer to Irish soldiers serving overseas, particularly in Europe. In America, this connection between the name and the brand is even more obvious, as it is known as The Wild Geese Irish Soldiers & Heroes Whiskey Collection. The Wild Geese range features both Irish single malts and blends.
