Detailed DescriptionDistilled in 1992, Entrapment was originally due to be included in a batch of Crown Royal Deluxe, however the spirit never made it into the blend and has instead spent the last 25 years maturing at the the distillery in Gimli, Manitoba.Orphan Barrel Entrapment 25 Year Old Canadian Whiskey Tasting NotesNose: On the nose there is a pronounced, sweet creamy, crème brûlée note accompanied by aromas of butterscotch with hints of vanilla, followed by hints of dried stone fruit and a bit of walnut. There is also a persistent waxy note, slightly reminiscent of furniture wax that is typical of grain whiskies.Palate: On the palate there is sweetness, a more pronounced dried stone fruit note of peach, with vanilla, butterscotch and hints of cinnamon and wood spice. There is some weight on the palate, with a rich creamy texture. There is a slight pepperiness that builds and then fades quickly.
