Detailed Description
A royal wine! The white wine les tétilles was served as a wine of honor at the wedding of the royal couple Harry and Meghan! Floral and fruity, this 2019 displays its freshness on a large scale, which asserts itself on the palate with a beautiful liveliness. Its balance, finesse and fat seduced us! An ideal bottle as an aperitif for its freshness, to accompany a simple grilled fish or to enhance a fruity dessert! A now “Classic” Bottle which no longer has to prove its reputation! Its price remains largely accessible in view of its qualities.
Reviews:
Wine Spectator: A clean, precise version, this white offers lemon, apple and subtle oak spice flavors. Vibrant and balanced, with a lingering aftertaste of citrus and vanilla.
James Suckling: This is exactly what we expect from Bourgogne blanc! Very attractive nose of sliced pears, white flowers and citrus zest. Fresh and lively with a touch of creaminess on the mid-palate and a crisp acidity, this has some of the elegance Puligny-Montrachet is famous for.
Producer Information
The name of the Leflaive estate will long be associated with its famous ambassador Anne-Claude who, with the energy of the pioneers, converted the estate to biodynamics between 1993 and 1997. The Leflaive family has lived in Puligny since 1717. But it took the genius, to a marine engineer, polytechnician, to revive an area devastated by phylloxera. After having participated in the design of the first French submarine, Joseph Leflaive returns to his native village, replants and promotes the estate’s wines well beyond the French borders. The third generation, Olivier and his cousin Anne-Claude, will consecrate the estate to the top of the Burgundian hierarchy. Tasting the estate’s wines is a unique experience for any amateur. The particular attention paid to the vine and to winemaking allows the wines, particularly rich, to reveal all the subtleties of the different Burgundian terroirs. Montrachet, Bâtard, Chevalier, Bienvenues-Bâtard and the Premier Crus Folatières or Pucelles are wines with fundamentally different identities. Rare cuvées, to be tasted at least once in your life as an amateur!
