Detailed Description
During prohibition, Canadian Club was the first to package their whisky in curved bottles. This curve made it easier to discreetly tuck away a bottle on your person. They chalked up another first for Canadian Whisky when in 2014 they released Canadian Club Chairman’s Select 100% Rye. It was the first 100% rye grain whisky to be released by one of the top three selling whisky brands in Canada. This rye is distilled at Alberta Distillers then bottled in Walkerville, Ontario.
Canadian Club Chairman’s Select 100% Rye Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: This is a familiar rye with textbook floral notes on the nose.
Palate: Popping toasted grains swirl with oaky vanilla leading your mouth on a journey of rye spiciness and creamy caramel. Orange citrus mixed with baking spices, such as clove and hot cinnamon, hang around a long time like they’ve been charged by the Energizer Bunny.
Finish: Long and rich.
