Detailed Description
Released in 2010, Crown Royal Black is bottled at slightly higher proof (90 vs 80) than the standard Crown Royal bottling and is aged in heavily charred barrels. To complete the look, a black felt bag envelopes the bottle as opposed to the classic royal purple one.
Crown Royal Black Blended Canadian Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: The whiskey is certainly smokey and robust upon inhalation and certainly sticks around for the long haul.
Palate: Vanilla and bourbon-like qualities are abound and the palate is still full and soft like the classic bottling.
Finish: After the sweet middle, however, it finishes spicy and dry.
