Detailed Description
Beginning whiskey drinkers beware: this is a great entry-level bourbon, but the marketing is deceptive. The term “small batch” has even less meaning here than it usually does, and “extra-aged” (a term used in place of an age statement) is the kind of empty phrase that trades a perception of legitimacy for the real deal.
Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Brown sugar and maple syrup, backed up by hints of dried apricot and raisin.
Palate: Continued syrup-y sweetness as it opens up, with cinnamon and black pepper warmth building.
Finish: Light hints of corn and malt stick around.
