Detailed DescriptionFortaleza Blanco Still Strength is bottled at or near the proof coming off the still. The tequila is produced in a traditional manner using brick ovens to cook the agaves which are then crushed with a tahona (large stone wheel). They are then allowed to naturally ferment in open air wooden tanks. Twice distilled and bottled with no additives at 92 proof.Fortaleza Blanco (Still Strength) Tequila Tasting NotesNose: Aromas of fruit, baked fully-ripened agave, green olive, and earth are invitingly present.Palate: Slightly brighter and a touch more rustic than the regular blanco, the accents of butter, olive, earth, black pepper, and vegetal qualities in the flavour are enhanced because it comes straight from small copper pot still, without adding water prior to bottling.Finish: Long and rich finish.
