Kilbeggan is a blended Irish whiskey made at Cooley distillery in County Louth. Named after the distillery of the same name dating back to 1757, this is an elegant, sweet and malty blend.
Kilbeggan Traditional Irish Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of breakfast cereal and green apple.
Palate: Pronounced malt and honey character.
Finish: Long, delicate finish with spices, grape notes and oak all coming together.
Distillery Information
Kilbeggan Distillery is situated on the River Brosna in Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, Ireland. It is owned by Beam Suntory. A small pot still distillery, the licence to distil dates to 1757, a copy of which can be seen in the distillery.
