The Gran Reserva Macallan’s were released between 1997 and 2002 and are perhaps one of the most sought after releases from Macallan. Distilled in 1981 and bottled in 1999. Nose: To the nose it reveals a full, earthy character, wherein the oak casks suffuse with the complex, fruity spirit spirit to create an aura of luxurious fulfilment.
Palate: On the palate it releases a flow of of gathering intensity, as the depth of its history breaks over the warmth of its soul.
Finish: A long and smooth finish.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
