Detailed Description
Following distillation, The Macallan distillers remove the heads and tails of the whisky and collect approximately 16% of the spirit to fill into casks for maturation. This “cut,” which is among the highest of any Scottish distillery, results in a more full-bodied and and rich whisky. This highly anticipated 30 year old release is an expression from The Macallan’s Sherry Oak range; series of single malt whiskies matured in hand picked sherry casks from Jerez. Deliciously smooth with a long, rich finish, the natural dark mahogany color of the 30 Years Old is the richest in the range (producer).
